The process - handcut a paper pattern, clip it from a sliver of veneer, carefully bed that whisker of wood to bed nicely.. then glue permanently

Rinse and repeat to repair damaged edges
removal of old finish is painstakingly underway
slight tone differences are evened out to help harmonize the set
Staining of the lower section underway, nearest is complete. Rear one next
the coffee table shows nice grain and tone qualities
the last of the three is complete. over night drying
Each piece gets 3 coats of Spar Varnish
Watching the transformation is amazing to me even now
